The most fragrant Christmas tree there is. If scent is what you're after, this is the answer.
Grand fir needles lie in flat, glossy, two-ranked rows along the branch and release a powerful citrus-sweet smell when brushed. Nothing else on a lot comes close on fragrance, which is why it fills a room within an hour of coming inside.
The trade-off is that it dries faster than the other firs and needs a warm room avoided. Keep it away from heating vents and the fireplace, and top the stand up daily.
Best for: Anyone who buys a real tree primarily for how the house smells.
